Beth Cole 
Bespoke Hand Embroidery 

Beth Cole is a hand embroidery artist who is inspired by antiques and the beauty of the natural world. Her embroidery celebrates tradition, intricacy and texture. Beth is always searching for vintage items to breathe new lives into. Her focus is on old, hardback books, where she decorates the spine of the book. Beth found this to be a beautiful way to display a wide range of detailed artworks, each with their own story, individual colour palette and embellishment.

Beths work primarily explores the 1000 year old technique of goldwork which uses metal threads, her work uses everything from the traditional gold materials, to exploring new, more modern colour ways.

Beth graduated from the Royal School of Needlework in 2018 where she studied BA (Hons) Hand Embroidery for Fashion, Interiors, Textile Art. She then went on to win second place in the Hand & Lock competition. Beth has been working throughout various industries since graduating, including internationally for Alexander McQueen, Ralph & Russo, Beaumont & Fletcher, Cathryn Avison and Tamara Ralph. Alongside this, working independently with smaller fashion and interior brands to create new samples and products.
